 Cwm's J Force set up cwm win !!

Cwm's leading scorers Criag Jones and Owen james scored all the Blues points and set up a third round cup win at Mynddd Mawr

The expected difficult cup tie at Parc Y Mynydd Mawr was evident as a gutsy display by the home side gave Cwm a real run for their money.
This was not the case in the opening period as Cwmllynfell via powerful driving play from forwards and backs threatened to overwhelm the Magpies defence with Trystan Manning showing up well in the Cwm midfield.
However the only reward was a penalty from Craig Jones on 15 minutes. This was added to immediately when good pressure from wing Owen James saw him charge a defensive kick down to cross for an unconverted try.
 The home side's full back Steve Hewitt closed the gap shortly after with a fine penalty before a length of the field move saw centre Daniel Mathias cross for a converted try on the half hour to give the hosts the lead. The Blues pivot Craig Jones kicked two penalties late in the half to give Cwm a 14-10 interval lead.
The away side upped their game in the third quarter and two impressive tries from Owen James and Craig Jones, one converted, saw what the away supporters think the victory was sealed. However indiscipline and perhaps unnecessary substitutions saw two excellent late tries by substitute wing Carl Gabrielsen one converted by Hewitt closed the gap and eventually Cwmllynfell scraped home 26-22.
Let's hope for a home draw Tuesday in the last 16.
