Cwm’s poor home run continued against Llangennech with the
visitors recording their first win at Bryn Park for many a year. Cwm started brightly and for the first quarter were camped on the Llan half but could not turn the pressure into points, with dropped possession, missed penalties and turnovers giving the visitors the ball.
Llan then broke away and with a sweeping movement up the field, Davies scored a fine try with outside half Roberts adding the extras. Llan then took control with their scrum half controlling affairs and a further try by Galley and three penalties from the accurate boot of Roberts made the game safe for Llan at 0-23.
Cwm rallied after the introduction of scrum half R Williams and flanker D Jones and N Boyce coaster over for a try converted by Paul Davies. But, too little—too late.
FINAL SCORE: Cwmllynfell 7 Llangennech 23
