CWM GO SECOND AT THE BRYN
Cwm started the season well at a wet and wndy Parc Y Bryn and swept Quins aside with a bonos point win
The first quarter was a tense affair with Quins big pack pushing Cwm back . Cwm tried to play a running game but in such bad conditions ball handling proved difficult and Quins defnce caused the home side to lose the ball in contact .Finally Cwm made a field position and Jones stroked over a penalty to opent the score for the Blues
Cwm then worked up the field and after a knock on a Cwm scrum on the Quins 25 saw a clever move as half backs Sturl and Jones worked young Wing Sam Hughes free and he sampered home in the corner . Craig jones added the extras form the touchline with a huge kick and put the Blues 10-0 up
An unforced error from the restart gave Quins a 3 point penalty and that is how it stood half time
Cwm had a slight wind advantage second half and after an early penalty by Jones Cwm edged further ahead as Jim Morgan belly flopped over from a contested line out on the Quins 5 yard line
Outhalf Jones playing behind a pack growing in confidence then took control pinning Quins back in thier half but releasing Cwms very fast back three of Hughes Jmes and Rees when the chances came
A great break by Rees then led to a try by strong centre Alex Wlkins before a cross kick by Jones gave wing O James a chance to gather and crash over in the corner to give th Blues a bonos piont
Quins kept on going but home coach Harries ended up far happier man than Quins new coach as his side had offerd little over the seasons first 80 minutes
Final Score Cwmllynfell 28 Quins 3
